I'm reaching out to the Yamaha community for some advice on replacing my brake pads. I've got a 2018 FZ-6R and I'm due for a new set of pads after about 15,000 miles. From what I've researched, it seems like the process shouldn't be too complicated, but I want to make sure I get it right. I've never done any brake work on my bike before, so I'm looking for some guidance from those who have experience with this particular model. Can anyone recommend a good brand of brake pads that are compatible with the FZ-6R? And more importantly, how do you go about replacing them? I'd love to hear from anyone who's done this job on their own before and has any tips or tricks to share. I'm planning on doing it myself, but if there are any parts or tools I should have on hand beforehand, that would be super helpful too!

I'm looking to purchase a new Yamaha motorcycle and I'm in need of some financing guidance. As many of us know, Yamaha motorcycles can be quite an investment, so I'd like to explore my options for financing this purchase. Specifically, I'd like to discuss the following topics: * What are my best options for obtaining a loan or lease on a new Yamaha motorcycle? * Are there any specific Yamaha financing programs or promotions that I should be aware of? * How do the different financing options (e.g. bank loans, credit unions, Yamaha's own financing) compare in terms of interest rates and fees? I've done some research and it seems like there are several options available, but I'd love to hear from others who have gone through a similar process or have experience with Yamaha financing. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for some clarification on the recommended tire pressure for my Yamaha motorcycle. The owner's manual suggests a minimum of 32 psi cold for both the front and rear tires, but I've noticed that some online forums suggest running higher pressures (up to 40 psi) for improved handling and reduced wear on the tires. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any specific guidelines or recommendations for tire pressure that I should be following based on my bike's intended use (street riding vs. touring)?

Hi everyone, I'm a relatively new rider and just picked up my first Yamaha motorcycle. While doing some research online, I noticed there aren't many beginner-friendly threads on this forum specifically about Yamaha bikes. I'd love to hear from more experienced riders who have started out with Yamahas - what made them choose Yamaha, what models did they start with, and any tips for a new rider like me would be super helpful.

As we all know, our beloved Yamaha bikes require regular maintenance to keep them running smoothly and prevent costly repairs down the line. From oil changes and filter replacements to tire pressure checks and brake pad renewals, there are many things we can do ourselves to keep our Yamaha running at its best. But for those who may not be as familiar with the process or need a refresher, this thread will serve as a valuable resource. So whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, please share your maintenance tips and tricks with us! What are some of the most important tasks to keep an eye on? Are there any specific models that require special attention? Let's work together to create a comprehensive guide for all Yamaha owners.

I'm looking to get some feedback and guidance on maintaining my Yamaha watercraft. I've had it for a few years now, but haven't done much in terms of regular maintenance besides checking and changing the oil. I've noticed some slight issues with performance and I'd like to catch them before they become major problems. Does anyone have experience or recommendations on what specific tasks should be performed on a regular basis (e.g. every 50 hours, etc.)?

As a Yamaha enthusiast and long-time owner of several Yamaha vehicles, I've had my fair share of experiences with different dealerships across the country. And let me tell you, it's been a wild ride! From smooth sales to downright infuriating interactions, I've seen it all. That's why I'm creating this thread - to get real reviews from other Yamaha owners about their experiences with various dealerships. Whether you had a great experience or a terrible one, I want to hear about it! What were the pros and cons? Were they knowledgeable about the products? Did they go above and beyond to help you? I'm not looking for glowing praise (although that's nice too), but rather honest feedback that can help others make informed decisions when buying or servicing their Yamaha vehicles. So, share your stories - good, bad, or ugly! Let's keep it real and have an open discussion about the Yamaha dealership experience. Your input will be super helpful in shaping a better understanding of what to expect from these dealerships.

I'm starting a new thread to discuss safety precautions specific to Yamaha motorcycles. As riders, we all know how important it is to take necessary precautions to prevent accidents and ensure our own well-being on the road. With that said, I'd love to hear from others about their experiences with Yamaha bikes and what safety measures they've taken or learned to be more aware of while riding a Yamaha motorcycle. Whether it's sharing tips on maintenance, discussing common hazards, or just exchanging advice - this is your chance to contribute to the conversation!

I'm looking for some clarification on the engine oil capacity for my Yamaha motorcycle. I recently purchased a 2018 Yamaha FJR1300 and was trying to find out how much oil it requires for its 4-cylinder engine. The owner's manual doesn't provide enough information, and I've been unable to find a reliable source online that specifies the correct oil capacity. Can anyone with experience or knowledge of this model chime in? What type of oil is recommended (synthetic or conventional), and how much does it take for both hot and cold engine conditions? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, I'm looking to take my Yamaha performance to the next level and was wondering if anyone has experience with modifications. I've been researching online but would love to hear about others' experiences and advice on what's worth investing in. Specifically, I'm interested in learning more about engine upgrades (e.g., camshaft, pistons, etc.), air intake mods, and exhaust system overhauls. I'd also appreciate any insights on how these modifications affect the bike's power delivery, handling, and overall performance. If anyone has done similar work to what I'm planning or can point me in the direction of some reliable resources, it would be super helpful!

I'm having trouble with my Yamaha outboard motor and I was hoping to get some help from the community. The motor has been running great for years but recently started experiencing issues. When I try to start it, it won't turn over unless I use a lot of choke. Once it's running, it idles rough and sometimes dies on me. I've checked the basics like fuel and oil levels, and they seem fine. Has anyone else experienced similar problems or have any idea what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for some guidance on maintaining my Yamaha motorcycle. I've heard that regular maintenance is key to extending its lifespan and preventing costly repairs down the line. Does anyone have experience with the recommended maintenance schedules outlined in the owner's manual? Are there any specific tasks or intervals that are often overlooked or neglected? I'd appreciate any tips or advice from fellow Yamaha owners on keeping their bikes in top condition, whether it's oil changes, tire rotations, or other essential procedures.
