The Ferrari 812 Superfast is a mid-engined sports car produced by Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari from 2017 to 2021. It was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and was named after its engine's power output of 812 horsepower (600 kW). The "Superfast" suffix was previously used on a 1960s racing car, but for this model, it represents the car's exceptional speed.
The 812 Superfast has a rear mid-mounted V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters, producing 789 horsepower (588 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 530 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque at 7,000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari claims a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 220 mph (354 km/h).
The car's chassis is made from aluminum and features an advanced aerodynamics package with active front vanes and adjustable rear wing. The suspension consists of independent double-wishbone front and multi-link rear systems, and the brakes are carbon-ceramic.
Inside, the Ferrari 812 Superfast has a bespoke interior with a focus on luxury materials like leather and Alcantara. The cabin features a dedicated infotainment system with navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a Burmester sound system.
In 2022, Ferrari introduced the 812 Competizione A (Type F152M), a track-focused version of the 812 Superfast. This car has a modified engine producing 819 horsepower (610 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 530 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque at 7,000 rpm.
