The Volvo Duett was a station wagon produced by Volvo from 1966 to 1978. It was available in two lengths: the standard length (known as the L) and the longer version (denoted as the XL). The Duett's body style was similar to that of other Volvos, but with an additional rear section to create a station wagon design.
Power came from three different inline engines: 1.8L, 2.0L, and 2.3L, producing 86-143 horsepower depending on the engine choice. The transmission offered was either a four-speed manual or a three-speed automatic. Front suspension employed coil springs with shock absorbers, while the rear used semi-trailing arms.
Interior features included bench seats for up to six passengers, as well as an optional split front seat for more comfort. A sliding glass partition between the front and rear compartments allowed occupants to separate themselves from luggage or children, improving overall passenger experience.
