The Toyota Hilux N10 was a pickup truck produced from 1968 to 1972. It was based on the Toyota Stout's platform and featured a 1.6L or 2.0L inline-four engine, producing 82-95 hp. The Hilux had a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case with a part-time four-wheel drive system.
Exterior features included a rectangular grille, a flat hood, and a simple body design with a separate cabin and cargo bed. The interior featured a basic dashboard with a speedometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge, as well as a three-spoke steering wheel.
The Hilux N10 was known for its ruggedness, reliability, and simplicity. It had a maximum payload capacity of around 1 ton (1000 kg) and could reach speeds of up to 60 mph (97 km/h). The vehicle's suspension consisted of leaf springs in the front and rear, with a solid axle at the rear.
Over time, the Hilux N10 was updated with improvements such as a new grille design, revised engine mounts, and improved braking systems. However, its basic design remained unchanged throughout its production run. Despite its age, the Toyota Hilux N10 remains popular among enthusiasts for its ruggedness, simplicity, and affordability.
