The Rolls-Royce Phantom IV was a luxury car produced by Rolls-Royce Limited in the United Kingdom from 1950 to 1956. It was the final series of Phantom III and the last in the line of large, bespoke cars that predated the modern Phantom series.

Design and Features: The Phantom IV had a longer chassis and wider body than its predecessor, with an overall length of 248 inches (630 cm) and a wheelbase of 153.5 inches (390 cm). The car's design was characterized by a distinctive grille and headlamps that were mounted in the front bumper, rather than on the body itself. Other notable features included a large hood ornament, a spare tire mount above the rear license plate, and a distinctive "step" in the bodywork just behind the driver.

Mechanical Specifications: The Phantom IV was powered by a 6.2-liter (380 cu in) inline-six cylinder engine that produced 132 horsepower at 3,500 rpm. The engine was coupled to a four-speed manual transmission with a freewheeling mechanism for reduced fuel consumption on flat surfaces. A BorgWarner semi-automatic transmission became available as an option in 1954.

Performance: The Phantom IV had a top speed of around 80-85 mph (129-137 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in approximately 15 seconds.

Interior and Accommodations: Inside, the Phantom IV featured a spacious cabin with a high roofline and ample legroom. The interior was upholstered in leather, with a choice of various colors and patterns available. Additional features included a rear seat compartment with folding armrests, a partitioned off area for carrying luggage or other items, a central console with controls for the heater and radio, and a "relaxed" driving position.

Production: A total of 18 Phantom IV cars were produced during its production run from 1950 to 1956. These cars were all hand-built by Rolls-Royce's craftsmen in the United Kingdom.

Customer and Ownership: The majority of Phantom IV owners were members of British aristocracy or other wealthy individuals, who appreciated the car's exceptional luxury and exclusivity.
