The Fiat Tipo and Lancia Egea are a series of compact cars produced by the Italian manufacturer Fiat, in collaboration with its subsidiary Lancia. The first generation (Tipo I) was introduced in 1988 as a replacement for the Fiat Ritmo and was designed to compete with other European compact hatchbacks.
