The Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is a limited-production targa-roof variant of the 599 GTB Fiorano, produced in collaboration with Pininfarina. It was unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show and initially only four examples were built.

Mechanically, the SA Aperta shares the same 620 horsepower 6.0-liter V12 engine as the 599 GTB Fiorano, paired with a six-speed F1 SuperFast manual transmission. This powertrain allows for a top speed of 198 mph (319 km/h) and accelerates the car from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The SA Aperta features a unique Pininfarina-designed targa roof, which replaces the coupe's retractable hardtop with a manual soft-top design. This design choice emphasizes the car's open-top driving experience while maintaining some of the aesthetic benefits of a fixed roof.

Aesthetically, the SA Aperta is characterized by its distinct appearance, incorporating elements from both the 575M and the 599 GTB Fiorano. The Pininfarina-designed bodywork includes a unique front bumper, side sills, and rear diffuser, all of which contribute to a more aggressive look than the standard 599.

Production for the SA Aperta was limited to just 80 units worldwide, making it one of the rarest and most exclusive Ferrari models ever produced. The car's production numbers were tied to Pininfarina's 50th anniversary as an independent company.

Interior-wise, the SA Aperta carries over much of the 599 GTB Fiorano's luxurious interior design. This includes a unique two-tone color scheme, with dark gray and light beige leather upholstery complemented by wooden trim elements throughout the cabin. The design emphasizes comfort while maintaining a focus on driving dynamics.

Each of the 80 SA Apreta units produced came with an individualized Pininfarina-designed body kit and interior components, further emphasizing the exclusivity of this model variant.
