The Ferrari 599 Generation 1 599 HGTE (Handling Grand Touring Evoluzione) is a high-performance version of the 599 GTB Fiorano. The 599 HGTE was unveiled in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and features several upgrades aimed at enhancing its handling capabilities while maintaining its impressive power output.

Engine:

• The 599 HGTE is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, which produces 611 horsepower at 8,000 rpm.
• This upgraded power unit features revised camshafts, intake manifold, and exhaust system for improved airflow and scavenging.
• Torque output remains unchanged from the standard 599 GTB Fiorano at 607 Nm (448 lb-ft) available from 6,300 to 7,500 rpm.

Transmission:

• The 599 HGTE retains the same F1 dual-clutch transmission as its standard counterpart.
• This advanced automatic is able to shift gears in under 60 milliseconds and features seven forward speeds.

Aerodynamics and Handling:

• Ferrari made several aerodynamic changes to improve downforce without increasing drag. These include a revised front bumper with air intakes, a more aggressive splitter, and a larger rear diffuser.
• The suspension was also upgraded with the adoption of stiffer springs, new shock absorbers featuring a higher compression rate and a unique calibration for improved handling.
• Additionally, Ferrari has provided a set of Pirelli 265/30 front and 295/25 rear tires designed to enhance grip.

Interior:

• Although the interior retains the same layout as the standard 599 GTB Fiorano, several aesthetic upgrades were made, such as aluminum inserts on the dashboard and door trim.
• New seats with increased lateral support have been added to complement the improved handling capabilities of the HGTE version.

Performance:

• The Ferrari 599 Generation 1 599 HGTE achieves 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds, a reduction by 0.1 seconds from the standard car.
• Its electronically limited top speed remains at 315 km/h (196 mph).
