The BMW X2 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV produced by German automaker BMW. It was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and was first available in market from February 2018.

The 2018 X2 was initially offered with two engine options:
A 1.5L turbocharged inline-3 cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower (135 kW) and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm).
A 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 cylinder engine delivering 189 horsepower (140 kW) and 207 lb-ft (280 Nm).
For the European market, a 1.5L turbocharged inline-3 cylinder diesel engine was also available.
In 2020, BMW updated the X2's powertrain options to include an additional 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 cylinder petrol engine producing 192 horsepower (143 kW) and 206 lb-ft (280 Nm).

The BMW X2 is offered in several trim levels:
sDrive20i (front-wheel drive, petrol)
xDrive20i (all-wheel drive, petrol)
M Sport (sports-oriented variant with exclusive features and styling cues)
Specifications and Options:
The X2 features an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is available on all trim levels.
BMW's iDrive navigation system is standard on the higher trims.
Advanced driver assistance systems like lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert are also offered as optional extras.
Performance:
The 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 cylinder engine has a top speed electronically limited to 144 mph (232 km/h).
In independent tests, the X2 achieved a 0-60 mph time of around 7 seconds.
Fuel economy varies depending on the market and trim level, but the combined MPG is approximately 28-30 mpg.

The base price for the BMW X2 sDrive20i in the US was around $35,000 (2018 model year).
European pricing for the same base model starts from around €33,500.
