The BMW 5 Series is a line of executive sedans and wagons produced by the German automaker BMW. The F10 (2011-2016) was the fourth generation of the 5 Series, available in both sedan (F10) and wagon (F11) body styles. It was succeeded by the G30 (2017-present), but during its production run, two special variants were produced: the F07 ( Gran Turismo) and the F18 (Gran Coupe).
Engine Options
The F10/F11 received a range of petrol engines, including:
- 535i with a 3.0L inline-6 producing 306 hp
- 550i with a 4.4L V8 producing 450 hp
- M5 with a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 producing 560 hp
Diesel options included:
- 520d with a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 producing 184 hp
- 530d with a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 producing 255 hp
- 535d xDrive with a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6 producing 309 hp

The F10/F11 featured an 8-speed automatic transmission (ZF 8HP) as standard, with an optional 6-speed manual for the diesel variants.
All-wheel drive was available on all petrol models, while some diesel models were also offered with xDrive.

The F18 Gran Coupe added to the model line in 2014, offering a sleeker design and improved handling.
