Model Overview
The BMW 3 Series E90/E91/E92/E93 is a line of compact executive cars produced from 2005 to 2013. The "E90" and "E91" designations refer to sedan and wagon body styles, respectively, while the "E92" denotes a two-door coupe version. The "E93" represents a retractable hardtop variant.
Design and Features
The E90/E91/E92/E93 3 Series features a reworked exterior design compared to its predecessor, with a more angular and aggressive appearance. The front fascia boasts a distinctive air dam, while the rear end sports a larger bumper and LED taillights. Standard equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights (on higher trims), and BMW's iDrive infotainment system.
Engine Options
The E90/E91/E92/E93 offers a range of powertrains:
- Petrol engines: A 230-horsepower inline-six in the 328i, as well as a 300-hp turbocharged version in the 335i. The 330i features a naturally aspirated inline-six producing 255 hp.
- Diesel engines: A 177-hp inline-four and a 204-hp inline-four for Europe-specific markets.
- Hybrid option: A 184-horsepower 3 Series featuring BMW's eDrive technology.

The E90/E91/E92/E93 is available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 328i features an automatic, while the higher-performance models employ the SMG (Sports Manual Gearbox) system.
