Is it safe to ignore the P0401 code on my 2013 VW Golf Mk7?

I recently got a P0401 code on my 2013 VW Golf Mk7 and I'm debating whether or not to address it. The code is for "Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient". My car's mileage is around 100k, and I've noticed no performance issues or other trouble codes. Should I be concerned about ignoring this code?
