Fuel Economy Issues with My 06 Golf GTI

I'm experiencing some issues with fuel economy in my 06 Golf GTI. I've had it for a few years now and have always gotten around 25-30 mpg in normal driving conditions. However, over the past month or so, I've been averaging around 20-22 mpg and can't figure out why. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with their Golf GTI?
