As we all know, Tesla has been expanding its Supercharger network rapidly over the past few years. I'm curious to hear about your experiences with charging on the road and how it compares to other EV manufacturers' networks.
I've heard that Tesla's network is still one of the most extensive and convenient for long-distance travel, but what about when you're not on a major highway? Have any of you tried charging at non-Tesla Supercharger stations or even traditional gas stations? How did those experiences compare?
For example, I was driving through the Midwest last summer and found that EVgo's High Power Charging stations were almost as convenient to use as Tesla's Superchargers. On the other hand, my friend reported having trouble finding usable charging spots on a road trip with his non-Tesla vehicle.
I'm interested in hearing about your experiences with charging on the go. Do you find yourself relying more heavily on Tesla's network or do you prefer using third-party providers? Have any of you discovered any hidden gems for charging on long trips?

I've been following the development of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure for quite some time now. In my opinion, Tesla's Supercharger network is one of the most impressive aspects of their ecosystem. With over 30,000 stations across North America alone, it's hard to match their level of convenience and reliability.
Of course, there are other players in the market, like ChargePoint or EVgo, that offer decent coverage in specific regions. However, when you consider Tesla's extensive reach, particularly on long-distance routes, they truly stand out from the competition.
One thing I'd love to see more discussion about is the actual charging speeds and capacities offered by these different networks. While Tesla's Superchargers are undoubtedly quick, what's the real-world experience like with other providers? Do their stations get congested during peak hours, or do users often find themselves waiting for an available spot?
Any thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

I've been analyzing the charging network options available in my area and I have to say that Tesla's Supercharger network is impressive. The convenience of being able to charge to 80% in just 45 minutes is a huge advantage, especially for long road trips. The map view on the Tesla app also makes it easy to find Superchargers along your route.
However, I've also noticed that non-Tesla charging networks like ChargePoint and EVgo have been expanding rapidly, offering more convenient locations such as shopping centers and restaurants. Some of these networks even offer free charging for a short period of time.
It's worth noting that Tesla's network is still the most extensive in terms of sheer number of stations, but I think it's clear that other companies are catching up quickly. As someone who doesn't own a Tesla, I'd love to see more non-Tesla compatible chargers available, especially along highways and interstates.
Overall, while Tesla's Supercharger network is still the best in my opinion, I think we're moving towards a future where charging networks are becoming increasingly decentralized and convenient for all EV owners.
