Model 3 Performance: Is It Worth the Extra Cost?

As a prospective Model 3 buyer, I'm struggling to justify the $7k+ premium for the Performance trim. Is it worth it? The extra power is certainly appealing, but what about the added cost of Supercharger credits and potential decreased range in cold climates? Are there any owners or enthusiasts who can weigh in on this decision?
