I recently purchased a Skoda Octavia and while I love the car's features and value, there are a few issues that have left me underwhelmed. Firstly, the infotainment system is woefully outdated and lacks the responsiveness of my old phone's interface. The navigation also takes forever to load and often drops signal, making it unreliable for long journeys.
Another major disappointment has been the car's build quality, which feels subpar compared to other cars in its class. The paint job was already showing signs of fading after only a few months, and I've noticed small scratches on the dashboard that didn't exist when I took delivery. Not exactly what I expected from a supposedly premium interior.
Lastly, Skoda's customer service has been unhelpful in addressing these issues, offering generic responses that don't address my specific concerns. Overall, while the Octavia is a great value for its price, it feels like a compromise on quality and features.

I've had my Octavia for 5 years now and while I generally like it, there are a few issues that have been nagging me. The most frustrating one is the infotainment system, which consistently freezes and crashes when using certain features. Additionally, the car has developed a rather annoying creaking noise from the dashboard, which seems to be getting worse over time. And then there's the issue with the air conditioning, which only works properly on low settings, leaving me feeling like I'm sweating buckets even on mild days. Overall, it's been a decent ride, but these issues have left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth

I've had my Skoda Fabia for 3 years now and I have to say that the worst thing about it is the reliability issues. Mine has been in the garage more times than I can count due to faulty sensors, brake problems and a dodgy transmission. The dealership has been no help at all, always trying to fob me off with excuses or telling me its just "normal wear and tear". It's got to the point where I'm starting to regret buying it altogether.
The other thing that really gets my goat is the poor customer service from Skoda UK. They seem completely uninterested in helping me resolve my issues, even when I've tried to contact them multiple times. It's like they're just trying to sell you a car and then forget about you once its on the road.
I'm starting to think that maybe Skoda isn't as reliable as everyone says it is, and that their customer service could definitely be improved. Has anyone else had similar experiences with their Skoda?
