Cayenne Diesel - How's the Fuel Economy on Long Trips?

I've just completed a 1500 mile road trip in my Cayenne Diesel and I'm curious to know how others have fared on long trips with this engine. My own experience has been surprisingly good, with an average of around 28-30 MPG, but I'd love to hear from others who may have driven longer distances or have more aggressive driving styles.
