I've been a Peugeot owner for over 5 years now and I have to say that some of the things I thought were true about their cars before owning one were way off. One common myth that people still believe is that Peugeots are unreliable and prone to breakdowns, but in my experience that's just not true. I've had my car serviced regularly and it's been trouble-free for years. Another myth is that they're not as fuel-efficient as other brands, but my 208 has consistently given me around 50mpg on a mix of urban and motorway driving. The thing that really surprises people when they get behind the wheel of a Peugeot is how much fun it is to drive - I've had friends who were skeptical about buying one because of concerns over reliability but have ended up loving their car once they started using it. Overall, I think there's a lot of misinformation out there about Peugeots and I'm glad to be able to share my positive experiences with others.

I've owned a few Peugeots in the past and have to say that I was surprised by how well they held up compared to what I'd heard. People always say that Peugeots are prone to electrical issues but my 2008 had over 150k miles on it and only had one minor problem, which was easily fixed. Another common myth is that Peugeots are unreliable and will leave you stranded on the side of the road. However, I've found them to be quite reliable and have never been left waiting for a tow truck. The other thing people say about Peugeots is that they're not as powerful as some other cars in their class but I think this is just a misconception. My 308 GT had plenty of pep and was a joy to drive, especially with the manual transmission. Overall, I've been very pleased with my experience owning Peugeot cars and would definitely recommend them to others.
