My Peugeot 406 has a mysterious rattle - help!

I'm experiencing a strange rattling noise coming from my Peugeot 406's engine area while driving, but I've been unable to pinpoint its source. The sound is intermittent and doesn't seem to be related to the road surface or speed. Has anyone else encountered this issue with their 406?
