Just Drove a '99 Lancer ES - What a Bargin!

Just got back from driving a friend's '99 Lancer ES and I'm blown away by how good it is! 160k miles on it and still runs like a dream. Fuel economy was surprisingly decent too. I know some people might think it's an old car, but I think it's a bargain at the price we paid - anyone else have any experiences with this model?
