W116 suspension upgrade: what do you recommend?

I'm planning to upgrade the suspension on my Mercedes-Benz W116 and I'd like to hear from fellow owners about their experiences with different components. What upgrades have you done? Are there any recommendations for coilovers or sway bars that would improve handling and stability? Have you also considered upgrading the springs or other related parts?
