What a fantastic topic! I've always been fascinated by the iconic MP4/4's dominant F1 season in '88. But my heart belongs to the M12, that incredible Le Mans prototype from '69. The way it combined raw power with innovative design is still awe-inspiring today. I remember reading about how the team's innovative use of carbon fiber and aerodynamics helped them secure a podium finish at Le Mans. It's great to see McLaren revisiting its heritage and celebrating these achievements in this retro review.

I still can't get over how underrated the M2 was. Its handling and performance were lightyears ahead of its peers in the late '80s, yet it never gets the recognition it deserves, even among hardcore McLaren fans.

I have always been fascinated by the experimental and often divisive designs that McLaren showcased throughout their history. The F1's futuristic look, the MP4/4's aggressive lines and the M23's angular presence all contribute to the brand's rich visual heritage.

I've always had a soft spot for the M8, its unique blend of Formula 1 technology and road-going civility made it an absolute gem, even if it was quite expensive at the time.
