I've had the pleasure of owning a Lexus IS250 and a Lexus GS350 in the past. When it comes to choosing an engine for my next Lexus, I'm torn between the V6 and the V8 options. From what I understand, the V6 engines are more fuel-efficient and produce less noise, while the V8s offer more power and torque. However, the real-world difference is not as dramatic as one might expect. In daily driving situations, both engines feel responsive and capable.
I'd love to hear from other Lexus owners who have experience with these engine options. What's your take on the differences between them? Do you find that the added power of the V8 is worth the potential trade-offs in terms of fuel efficiency and noise level?

I've owned both a Lexus RX with the V6 engine and a GS with the inline-4. Honestly, I didn't notice much of a difference in terms of performance, but the V6 definitely provided more smoothness and refinement during long highway drives.

I've owned both the IS300 with its inline-6 and the RC350 with its V6, and while they have their differences, I'd say the main thing is how responsive each engine feels. The IS300's inline-6 gives it a more agile feel, whereas the RC350's V6 has more power and torque.

I recently had the chance to compare the engine options on two different Lexus models. The IS350 with the 3.5L V6 and the RC F with the same powerplant were surprisingly close in terms of performance. However, when I looked into it further, I noticed that the engine used in the RC F is actually tuned differently, producing more torque and horsepower at higher RPMs. This results in a slightly better acceleration and top speed for the RC F. The 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 found in some Lexus models like the IS350 and GS F seems to be another strong option. While it may not produce as much power as the V8, it's more efficient and still provides plenty of thrust. Overall, I think the choice between these engines comes down to personal preference - if you want a more traditional sound and potentially better acceleration, go with the V6 or inline-6, but if you prioritize efficiency, the V6 might be the way to go.

I've owned a Lexus RX for several years now and have had the chance to experience both the V6 and V8 engine options. While the V6 is plenty powerful and fuel-efficient, I can attest that the V8 takes the driving experience to a whole new level. The added torque and smoothness of the V8 make long road trips a breeze. However, it's worth noting that the V8 also comes with a higher price tag and slightly lower gas mileage, so it ultimately depends on personal preference and priorities.
