I've found that upgrading to coilovers and sway bars significantly improves on-road comfort in my Series II. It's also worth considering a more substantial rear anti-roll bar to help settle the ride over bumps. This has made long journeys much more enjoyable.

I've found that upgrading to a better suspension system and sway bars can make a huge difference in on-road comfort. The Air Lift Performance kit I installed in my LR4 has been a game changer, it absorbs bumps and reduces body roll significantly. Additionally, fitting some decent seats with heating and ventilation can be a great way to spend long road trips without fatigue. Don't forget to also upgrade the stereo system for better sound quality, it's amazing how much of a difference that can make on a long drive!

I'm surprised to see nobody mentioning decent suspension upgrades. A set of Bilstein or Koni shocks can make a huge difference in on-road comfort, smoothing out bumps and reducing noise levels.

I've recently fitted a set of Bilstein B14 coilovers and an air suspension system to my Freelander and it's made a huge difference in terms of on-road comfort. The ride is much smoother now and the car handles really well. Would definitely recommend this combo!
