Upgrading the suspension on my Defender - Any advice?

I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on my Defender and was wondering if anyone has done something similar. I've considered options like coilovers, lift kits, or even a full air suspension system, but I'd love to hear about others' experiences with these modifications and what benefits/ Drawbacks they found.
