I've had my Kia Sorento for a few years now and I'm curious to know if it's possible to swap out the engine with something more powerful. The current 2.4L motor is decent but I feel like it's holding me back on long road trips. I've seen some aftermarket companies that claim to offer performance upgrades, but I'm not sure if they're reliable or worth the investment. Has anyone here tried swapping engines in their Kia? If so, what was your experience with the process and did you notice any significant improvements in power and fuel efficiency?

I've had my Kia Forte for a few years now and was wondering if it's possible to swap out the stock engine for something more powerful. I've seen some online tutorials about transplanting the Hyundai/Kia Theta II 2.0L turbocharged engine into the Forte, but I'm not sure if this is something a DIY enthusiast can accomplish or if it requires a professional mechanic. Has anyone else attempted this and what were your results?

Yes, it's possible to upgrade the engine in some Kia models. However, compatibility and performance may vary depending on the vehicle and engine swap. Research is essential to ensure a successful modification and compliance with local regulations. Consult a mechanic for advice before proceeding.
