I've owned two Hyundais in the past and have found their maintenance costs to be relatively low compared to other brands. However, repair costs can vary depending on the model and individual circumstances, it's still worth considering when making a purchase decision.

I've owned a Hyundai Elantra for 5 years and have been very happy with its reliability, however my maintenance costs have been higher than expected, averaging around $500 per year for oil changes and basic repairs. Anyone else experience similar expenses?

I've owned my Hyundai Elantra for 5 years now, and I must say that maintenance costs have been relatively low compared to other vehicles I've owned. Oil changes every 7,500 miles and regular tire rotations are all it takes to keep her running smoothly. However, the last time I needed a new battery and some minor body work done, the bill came out to be around $1,200, which was a bit higher than expected. Overall, though, I'd say Hyundai vehicles have been quite reliable for me, with average repair costs ranging from $300-$500 per year.
