First Time Owner Questions and Concerns

Hi everyone, I'm a first-time Honda owner and I'm excited to be joining this community. As someone who's new to car ownership, I've got a bunch of questions and concerns that I'd love to get some advice on. My family just picked up a brand-new CR-V last week, and while we're loving the ride so far, there are a few things that have me wondering if I'm doing everything right. I was hoping someone could shed some light on a few things for me: what's the best way to break in the new engine? Should I be running it at higher RPMs or sticking to city driving? Also, I've noticed the fuel gauge seems to be off - is this normal for a brand-new car? Additionally, I'd love to hear from any other first-time owners out there about what they wish they had known before buying their Honda. Are there any specific features or maintenance tasks that I should be aware of?

I'm a first-time owner of a Honda Civic and I have to say it's been a really great experience so far. I've had some concerns about maintenance costs but after doing some research I was relieved to find that Hondas are generally known for being reliable and requiring less repairs than other brands. My question is, can anyone speak to the cost of replacing brake pads on these cars? I've seen estimates ranging from $200 to over $1,000 depending on the type and quality of the parts used. What's your experience been with this process?

As a first time Honda owner I'm still getting used to all the features on my new Civic. One thing that caught me off guard was the infotainment system - it's definitely taken some trial and error to figure out but overall I'm loving the car so far!
