Honda BR-V's performance review - is it quick enough?

I recently had the chance to take a Honda BR-V out for a spin and I'm curious to know if it's quick enough for its intended purpose. As a daily driver, I need something that can handle city traffic with ease, but also has some punch when merging onto highways. Has anyone else taken one of these out on a spirited drive?
