I've had my eye on a used 328i for months now and I'm planning to take it in for a service check soon. I was reading through some of the reviews online and I noticed that there are a lot of complaints about BMW's service and warranty policies. Has anyone else had any issues with getting their car serviced or repaired under warranty? I've heard that the waiting times at dealerships can be pretty long, is this true?

I recently purchased a used BMW M3 and have been experiencing some issues with the transmission. Despite being under warranty, the dealer has been uncooperative and unwilling to address the problem in a timely manner, leaving me wondering about the overall service quality of BMW.

I recently purchased my first BMW, a used X3, and while I'm loving the performance and handling, I've been having some issues with the service department. My car has been in for repairs three times already, and each time they've found something new to fix that wasn't covered under warranty. The last visit was particularly frustrating as they claimed it was my fault for not properly maintaining the vehicle when clearly the problem was a manufacturing defect.
I'm starting to think that BMW's service network is not designed with customers in mind but rather as a profit center. They seem to be nickel-and-diming me on every little thing, and I'm getting tired of their excuses.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their BMW? Are there any suggestions for how to navigate the system and get what I paid for?

I recently purchased a new BMW X5 and was shocked to discover that the car had several issues straight out of the box. The service centre seemed overwhelmed and couldn't get me an appointment for over a week despite my being told it would be within 24 hours when I brought it in initially.
When the car did finally come back, the same issues persisted and were barely even addressed by the mechanic. Not only that but they added to the list with some new problems I'd never experienced before owning the car.
Their warranty process is also a nightmare, extremely slow and uncooperative, almost like they want you to just go away and not bother them. The whole experience has really soured my opinion on BMW's service and overall support for their customers.

I recently purchased my first BMW X3 and while I'm extremely satisfied with the performance and features of the vehicle, I've had some issues with the service department. Despite scheduling appointments in advance, I've consistently experienced long wait times and a lack of communication regarding the status of my repairs. Additionally, one of the visits was botched due to a misdiagnosed problem which required further work.

I recently purchased my first BMW, a 3-series, and while I'm loving the performance and handling, I've been having some issues with the service department. Specifically, I took it in for a routine oil change and software update and was told that the updated navigation system would require an additional $1,000 to be installed. When I questioned this, they explained that it was a "factory upgrade" and not covered under warranty. As someone who's never had any issues with maintenance before, this seemed excessive. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

I recently purchased my 3 series and have been experiencing issues with the vehicle's electronics system. I've taken it to the dealership multiple times for repairs, but they keep saying it's a "software issue" and it'll be fixed in the next update. Feeling frustrated with BMW's service department.

I recently purchased a used BMW X3 and have been experiencing recurring issues with the vehicle's electrical system. Despite visiting multiple dealerships and speaking with various service representatives, I've yet to receive a satisfactory explanation for these problems or any meaningful compensation. My concerns include inconsistent performance, faulty infotainment systems, and frequent diagnostic codes. Has anyone else encountered similar experiences or found effective solutions?

I recently purchased a new BMW M3 and after just a few months of ownership I've already encountered some service and warranty issues that have left me disappointed. The car's engine computer needed to be reset due to a faulty sensor, which seemed like a minor issue but required a visit to the dealership for repair. However, when I went to pick up my car, I was told that the dealership couldn't provide me with a loaner vehicle as they were "short-staffed" and didn't have any available. This lack of consideration for customers is alarming, especially given the premium price tag on these vehicles.

I recently purchased a used 2018 BMW X5 from a dealership and have been experiencing persistent issues with the vehicle's electrical system. The navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and rearview camera all malfunction frequently. I've taken the car to the authorized service center multiple times, but they seem more interested in selling me additional services than resolving the problems. The warranty period has expired, and now I'm being told that repairs will be at my expense. This is not what I expected from a BMW ownership experience.

I took my 2018 3-series in for routine maintenance and was shocked to find out that the service manager didn't even bother to check the warranty coverage on the recommended repairs. I recently purchased a brand new BMW M3 and after only 500 miles I started experiencing issues with the oil consumption. I took it to the dealership and they claimed that the problem was due to me driving aggressively which is completely not true. The worst part is that they told me that since I had exceeded the warranty period, I would have to pay out of pocket for the repair. This experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I'm reconsidering my decision to purchase another BMW in the future.

I've had my fair share of issues with my 2018 X5's warranty. The most frustrating experience was trying to get them to honor a recall for a faulty sensor that caused excessive oil consumption. Took multiple calls and visits before they finally fixed the problem. Lesson learned: don't rely on BMW's customer service.

I've owned my 2018 X5 for just over a year now and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the "service" experience I've had with BMW. From routine maintenance to addressing some minor issues, it's been nothing short of frustrating.
Scheduled an oil change and tire rotation last month, only to have them call me back a day later to say that they'd misplaced the service order. Had to reschedule for the following week.
A few weeks ago, I noticed a strange noise coming from my engine when accelerating. Took it in to the dealership, was told it was nothing to worry about and that I should just "get used to it." Now I'm being told that it'll need to be looked at again, this time by their specialist team.
Their warranty department has also been uncooperative, taking weeks to respond to my inquiries.

I recently purchased a brand new BMW X5 and have been experiencing some issues with the vehicle's performance. Despite taking it in to the dealership for servicing, I've noticed that the engine has been running rough at times and there are occasional transmission problems.
After contacting BMW customer service, they informed me that these issues are likely due to a software glitch that needs to be updated. However, when I asked about the warranty coverage, I was told that it only applies if the problem is considered "serious" by their definition, which seems quite vague and arbitrary.
I'm not alone in experiencing these types of problems, as there have been numerous reports online of similar issues with the X5 model. It's concerning to think that such a well-known brand like BMW could have this many problems with their product and then try to pass it off on the customer.

I've had my 2018 X3 for three years now and have experienced multiple issues with the iDrive system freezing on me. I took it to the dealership twice and both times they claimed it was a software issue and needed to be updated. However, after two updates, the problem still persists. I'm starting to think that this is a hardware problem rather than a software one. Has anyone else had similar issues with their BMW?

I've been a proud owner of my 2018 BMW M3 for over a year now, but I'm starting to regret it. After taking it in for its first scheduled maintenance, the mechanic informed me that one of the rear wheel bearings was worn out and needed to be replaced at a cost of $1,500.
What really got me upset was when I brought this up with the dealership's service manager, he basically told me that it's "standard practice" for BMWs in their first year of ownership. Standard practice? Are you kidding me? That sounds like a way to shift liability onto the customer.
I'm still waiting to hear back from BMW corporate about a resolution, but I'm not holding my breath. Has anyone else had similar experiences with BMW service and warranty issues?

I recently had my first service done at the local BMW dealership and I must say it was not what I expected. The waiting time for the service was shorter than usual but the quality of work seemed to be compromised as they managed to scratch the paint on one of my alloy wheels. When I brought this up with them, they told me that scratching is a normal process in the service procedure and couldn't offer any form of compensation or apology.

I recently purchased a brand new X5 from a local dealership and I'm extremely disappointed with the service experience. Despite being told that my vehicle would be fully inspected and maintained after 12 months or 15,000 miles, I've been back in twice already for issues related to faulty electrical systems.
