I've always been impressed by the M3's dual-pipe exhaust system - it gives the car that unmistakable sound. Anyone have experience with aftermarket systems like Akrapovic or Milltek? How do they compare to the stock setup in terms of performance and noise level?

I've been experiencing some issues with my M3's exhaust system lately. The car has around 60k miles on it and I recently noticed a slight hesitation in acceleration when shifting into higher gears. I suspected it might be related to the exhaust system so I took a closer look. Upon inspection, I found that the downpipe had developed some rust and was causing the restriction. I've replaced it with a high-flow unit from Dinan and it's made a noticeable difference in power delivery.
Has anyone else on here experienced similar issues or have any recommendations for improving the exhaust system on their BMW?

I've been reading that the M Performance exhaust system on my BMW M4 has a noticeable sound increase under hard acceleration but also adds a few decibels of noise to normal driving. Is this typical for this exhaust system?

I've been researching exhaust system upgrades for my E90 M3 and was wondering if anyone has had experience with Akrapovic or Milltek systems. I'm looking for a balance of performance gain and noise level. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I've been looking into upgrading my E90 M3's exhaust system and I'm torn between the Akrapovic Evolution Line and the Milltek Sport Catback. Both systems seem to be well-regarded in the community, but I'm having a hard time deciding which one is worth the investment.
The Akrapovic system seems to offer better high-rpm performance and a more aggressive sound, but it's also significantly more expensive than the Milltek setup. On the other hand, the Milltek Sport Catback looks like a great value for the money, with a similar sound profile to the Akrapovic but without breaking the bank.
Has anyone else had experience with either of these systems? Are there any notable differences in terms of performance or durability that I should be aware of before making my decision?

I've been noticing that my 328i's exhaust note sounds slightly muted compared to when it was still under warranty. Has anyone else experienced this or is there a specific modification that can help restore the original sound and performance of the system?

I've been considering upgrading my BMW's exhaust system but I'm not sure if it'll make a noticeable difference in performance or just add some extra noise. Has anyone else done this and what were your results?

I've recently upgraded my exhaust system to an Akrapovic Evolution and I'm thoroughly impressed with the sound and performance gains. The system is very well built and the installation was relatively straightforward. Would highly recommend this upgrade for any serious BMW enthusiast.

I'm interested in hearing others opinions on the stock exhaust system of the M4. I've recently added an aftermarket cat-back system and noticed some notable improvements in terms of sound and power delivery. Has anyone else experienced similar results?

I've had my fair share of exhaust system upgrades on my BMW 335i. Currently running a high-flow cat-back system and I'm loving the sound it produces. The only downside is that I noticed a slight dip in fuel efficiency but it's worth it for me since I drive aggressively most of the time. Has anyone else tried similar setups?
