Best winter tires for a 2012 BMW X3 xDrive20d

I'm looking for recommendations on the best winter tires to fit my 2012 BMW X3 xDrive20d. The car is stock and has about 50k miles. I've considered the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 and Continental WinterContact SI, but would love to hear from others who have experience with this specific model and driving conditions.
