What's the Best Suspension Upgrade for My E28?

I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on my E28 and I'd love to hear some recommendations. Specifically, I'm considering sway bars, shocks, or a complete coilover system. What experience have others had with these upgrades? Has anyone tried the Dinan or Bilstein kits? Any suggestions for DIY-friendly options would be great too!
