F40's infotainment system - pros and cons?

I've recently gotten my hands on a used BMW F40 and I'm trying to wrap my head around its infotainment system. The screen is crisp and the interface is snappy but I find some features to be counterintuitive and the voice assistant seems to have a mind of its own - anyone else experience similar issues or love their iDrive setup?
