Does the Ariel Nomad Have Enough Power for Serious Off-Roading?

I'm wondering if the Ariel Nomad's engine is up to the challenge of serious off-roading. The Nomad's 2.3L naturally aspirated inline-4 puts out around 250 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. Has anyone taken their Nomad on some seriously rough terrain and can attest to its capabilities? Are there any upgrades or modifications that could be made to the engine to give it a bit more oomph for more extreme off-road adventures?
